Horatio
Terms of Service
Effective 13 August 2026
Horatio is a macOS desktop app made by Todd Gilbert, an individual. These terms cover your use of the app and of horatio.studio.
The app
Horatio is an ambient watcher. You describe what to watch; it connects to sources you choose (Gmail, Slack, GitHub, a web page, or local Claude Code sessions) and surfaces summaries in its own timeline. It is distributed as a signed and notarized download for Mac. There is no web app, no mobile app, and no browser extension.
The app is provided free of charge for now. Pricing, features, and availability may change.
Your accounts, your rules
You connect your own accounts. You are responsible for those connections, for the watches you write, and for complying with the terms of Google, Slack, GitHub, and any other service you point Horatio at. Horatio does not create those accounts for you and does not operate them.
Evaluation runs on your Mac, through Ollama. Watched content is not sent to Horatio or to any third-party model provider.
No warranty
Horatio is provided “as is”. Todd Gilbert makes no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose, and is not liable for lost mail, missed watches, or anything a connected service does.
This website
The waitlist on horatio.studio is optional. Submitting an email does not create an app account.
Privacy
How Horatio handles information, including Gmail data, is described in the Privacy Policy.
